Translation: How could the value "40 percent" be described differently? This was the question posed to 1000 Germans via telephon by the Emnid-Institut by order of the SZ-Magazin. There were three answering possibilities: "one fourth", "four out of ten" and "every fortieth". The correct answer "four out of ten" was chosen by 54 percent.
